Services for Selma "Sally" Kjosa, 95, St. Charles, Minn. were held Friday, May 17, at 11 a.m. in Marion Lutheran Church, rural Elgin. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Marshall Hahn officiated at the service with Leonard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She died Monday, May 13, 1996 at Whitewater Health Care Center, St. Charles, after failing health for the past month.

Selma was a member of the Marion Lutheran Church, rural Elgin.

Selma "Sally" Rosetta Kjosa was born May 26, 1900 to Mike and Louise (Gilbertson) Mikkelson, rural Decorah. She spent most of her life in that area and Clayton County near Elgin. She received her three-year RN degree in 1925 from St. Paul Hospital, St. Paul, Minn. Selma worked at various hospitals as a night nurse and a private duty nurse in Elgin, Decorah, West Union, and Postville.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth T. Kjosa on Jan. 29, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Selma is survived by one son, one daughter, and five grandchildren.
