Victim of Illness, Had Been Sick Over Two Years
Frankville Community Church was filled to capacity Sunday afternoon by friends and relatives from far and near who came to attend the funeral of Inez Genivieve Kneeskern, daughter of James and Emma Kneeskern, who died Wednesday. She was born Feb. 15, 1914 in Frankville and lived there all her life with the exception of one year when she was employed as a clerk in Oelwein and Cedar Rapids. She received her early education in the public school and later graduated from the Postville high school, and was also a student of music, both vocal and instrumental. This, combined with her exceptional talent, made her prominent in the musical activities of the community.
She was confirmed under the pastorate of J. C. B. Peck on April 10, 1927 and became a member of the Frankville Community Church, always being in regular attendance at Sunday school and for some time was the leader of the Young Peoples' choir and cheerfully responded when called upon in any emergency.
While at work in Cedar Rapids she became ill and after a medical examination decided to go to Sunny Crest hospital at Dubuque which she entered on November of 1936, and remained for treatment there until July 1, 1937, when seeming much improved, she came home, where everything that loving hands could do was done for her comfort.
During her long illness she was a patient sufferer fighting her disease with a brave and hopeful spirit. She passed on at 11 p.m. Feb. 9, 1938.
