Roberta L. Prew

Roberta L. Prew, 58, of Prairie du Chien, Wisc. died Sunday at her home. Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday), Sept. 17 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Wambach officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Prairie du Chien. Garrity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Roberta was born March 15, 1939 in Castalia, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Mabel (Young) Kneeskern. She married Robert Burns in 1956. She later married Peter Prew in 1986. She worked at the Great River Care Center in McGregor and at the Lori Knapp Foundation in Prairie du Chien.

She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband Pete of Prairie du Chien; seven sons: Monty (Lori) Burns of Elkader; Dennis (Diane) Burns of Ireton; Kent (Linda) Burns and Craig (Jaci) Burns of Postville; Jamey (Bobbi) Burns of St. Lucas; Marty (Donna) Prew of McFarland, Wisc; Darren (Melanie) Prew of Marquette and two daughters, Jody (Tim) Pennington of Lakeville, Minn. and Andra Foley of McGregor; her mother, Mabel Kneeskern of Monona; one brother, Lyle (Norma) Kneeskern of Castalia and 14 grandchildren: Christopher, Kyle, Kendra, Nathaniel, Megan, Jason, Bobby, Zachary, Jerad, Jeramey, Jesi, Allison, Kelten and Kyler.
