Funeral services for Beverly B. Peck were held Saturday, March 4 at the Frankville Community Presbyterian church. Rev. James Elvig officiated. Burial was in the Frankville Cemetery. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.

Beverly Beatrice Peck, daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Padrick) Brandt, was born July 4, 1918 at her parents' farm near Frankville. She died February 25, 1989 at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, TX.

She began a 37-year teaching career after graduating from Postville High School in 1936. She taught at 4 rural Winneshiek County schools the first 17 years and then spent 20 years with the Decorah Community School District teaching 5th grade. She received her B. A. degree from Luther College in 1970 and was honored by her colleagues and the Decorah Education Association on her retirement in 1980.

She married Roland Daniel Peck Sept. 3, 1938 at Decorah. They were the parents of 2 daughters. They resided on their farm near Frankville until their home burned last June. Since her retirement they have spent fall and winter months at Brownsville, TX.

She was a lifelong member of the Frankville Presbyterian church. She was a member of the UPW Willing Workers and the National Education Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wesley Brandt.

Survivors include her husband, Roland; her daughters, Luann Haas, rural Postville and Mrs. Gordon (Judy) Jacobson, rural Clermont; one brother, Wayne, and his wife, LaVonne, rural Postville; 2 sisters-in-law, Ethel Brandt, Decorah and Ruth Allen, Frankville and a brother-in-law and his wife, Upton and Goldie Peck, rural Postville. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Daniel Jacobson, Gregory Jacobson, Addison Haas, James Halstead, Brent Nordus and Harold Peck.
