Donald Wohlsdorf

Donald Herman Wohlsdorf, of the Palm Garden Nursing Home in Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Cresco, passed away July 23, 2008, of complications of Parkinson's Disease. He was 82.

Memorial services were held on Friday, September 26, at New Orleans Cemetery in Cresco.

Don resided in Cresco most of his life until recent years. He retired from the R.E.C. in Cresco as a lineman.

He is preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Wohlsdorf, Clara Hornberger, Arlene Hosek, and one brother, Alan Wohlsdorf.

He is survived by three children, Jean (Dave) Doda of Cresco, Julie (Tom) Benson of Postville, and David (Sue) Wohlsdorf of Ames; ten grandchildren, Matt, Megan, Aaron, and Austin Doda, Tharin Benson, Trinna (Leonardo) Navarro, Trevar and Tyra Benson, and Sarah and Maria Wohlsdorf; three great-grandchildren, Carter Navarro and Jared and JoAnna Doda.
