Mrs. Oliver Ruen, 47, of Allamakee county, died July 31 in Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Waukon.
Funeral services are being held today, Thursday, starting at 2 pm in Glenwood Cemetery, and the Rev. Donald Lee is conducting the services.
Steine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Robert Nash, Willard Halverson, Philip Sandbeck, Leo Enyrt, Clarence Sivesend, & Eldo Krumme.
Mrs. Donald Lee is organist & Austin Moen is soloist. The floral commitee is comprised of Mrs. John Kuntz, Mrs. Eldo Krumme, Mrs. Austin Moen, & Mrs. Melvin Benson.
Mrs. Ruen, the former Arla M. Evenrud, was born May 8, 1914 in Glenwood township, a daughter of Arthur & Olga Evenrud.
She received her education in Glenwood Township.
She was married to Oliver Ruen March 6, 1939 in Glenwood Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, parents, 2 children, Dennis Allen & Donna Olivia, 8 year-old twins. A daughter died in infancy.
Also survining is a brother, Hayward Evenrud of Glenwood Township.
Mrs. Ruen was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church & a member of the Ladies Aid.
