ALLEN JONES

Funeral services for Allen Jones were held Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church at Castalia, Iowa. The Rev. Dave L. Lenth officiated. Marlys Hager was the organist. The Schutte Funeral and Cremation Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Castalia.

Allen Francis Jones, the son of Wayne Allen Jones and Dama Frances Lewis Jones, was born July 5, 1968 at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He passed away Friday, July 27, 2001 at Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union, Iowa. He was 33 years old.

He graduated from Postville High School in 1987. Allen had been employed by Monona Wire Corporation where he worked on the production line.

Allen enjoyed music, especially such artists as Garth Brooks and his song "The Dance." He enjoyed rock music as well. Allen liked to collect model cars and attend the car races at Decorah. His other interests included pictures of wildlife such as deer and wolves, riding his bike, and his love of cats.

He is survived by his two children, Ashley and Taylor Jones, both of Mabel, Minnesota, his parents, Wayne and Dama of Castalia, his special friend, Kris Meyer of Decorah, his maternal grandmother Helen Bayne of Elkader, and his best friend, James Rolfs.

Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Charles E. and Vivian Jones, maternal grandfather, Earnest Lewis, and maternal step-grandfather, Burt Bayne, and an uncle, Robert Jones.

Casketbearers were James Rolfs, Chris Dietrich, Matt Colsch, Floyd Schmitt, Tim Jones, Johnny Jones, R.C. Wlochal, and Adam Jones.
