Korey Rothmeyer

Korey Patrick Rothmeyer of Calmar, formerly of Ossian, died Monday, June 3, 1996 at his home. He was 22 years old. Funeral Mass was conducted on Saturday, June 8, 1996 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors in Festina with the Rev. Richard Kuhn officiating. Casket bearers were Glen Lansing, Travis Flack, Joshua Boyer, David Bushman, Bill Wenmann and Aaron Wenthold. Burial was in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery, Festina, Iowa. Ossian Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.

Korey, the son of Gary and Connie (Monroe) Rothmeyer, was born on September 8, 1973 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital in Decorah. He attended DeSales grade school and graduated in 1991 from South Winneshiek High School. He also attended NICC at Calmar for auto body repair and auto mechanics. Kory was a member of Co B 389 Engineer Battalion, Decorah Army Reserve. He worked for Quandahl Poulty (sic) since 1991. Korey enjoyed hunting and fishing and working on automobiles.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Connie Rothmeyer of Ossian, two brothers, Gary Rothmeyer, Jr. and Tyler Rothmeyer, at home, and a sister, Renae.
