Myrtle Zoe (Van Wey) Webster

Graveside services for Myrtle Zoe Webster who died Nov. 24 at her home in Montour, IA were held at the Evergreen Cemetery, rural Postville. Verdon Swenson, Pastor of the Forest Mills United Methodist Church conducted the services. The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 14, 1900 to George and Miner (Kirby) Van Wey in Frankville. She attended the Frankville School and the Decorah High School. She married Charles Webster, August 12, 1919 at Waukon. They farmed near the Forest Mills area for many years. After the death of her husband in 1956, she moved to Montour, where she lived for 12 years. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Charlene Ewing, Montour, IA; a grandson, Donald Ewing, Lansing; 2 granddaughters; Denise Ribby, Montour and Dixie Potter, Tama; 9 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and a sister, Daisy Hendershot, Hamden, CT.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; a grandson, 6 brothers; Ralph and Leslie who died in infancy and Walter, Carl, Irvin and Earl and 3 sister: Rosa Cunningham, Jessie Rossalew and A. Maud Myren.
