Funeral services for Norman Edward Svendsen, son of Mr. and Mrs Norman Svendsen of Ossian, were held from the Zion Lutheran Church in Castalia last Friday at 2:00 P,M. with the Rev. Laverne R. Meineke officiated.

Norman Edward was born May 14, 1948 at Decorah. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith on June 24, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church.On last January 6,he became violently ill but recovered satisfactorily to be home again and enjoy himself. On March 4, he agan became ill and was rushed to Decorah Hospital for treatment. He passed away Wednesday morning at 8:05 A.M. He was three years old,nine months and 21 days old.

He leaves to mourn his passing:his parents,three sisters at home,Dirinda,Anna Marie and Janell. His maternal grandparents,Mr and Mrs Ed Preuss:his paternal grandfather John Svendsen: two great grandmothers, Mrs Martha Schroeder of Castalia and Mrs Bertha Preuss of Elroy, Wisconsin.Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
