Hymeneal.
The residence of Mr. and Mrs. Funke, on the County Farm, Freeport, Iowa, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Thursday, Oct. 7th, when Miss Barbara Peely was united in the bonds of matrimony to Mr. John Flueck. The nuptial knot was tied by Rev. Henry Grant of Decorah. After the usual congratulations the large company sat down to a sumptuous dinner. The bride and groom were the recipients of many useful and beautiful presents, testifying the high esteem in which the young couple were held. Their many friends join in the expression of good wishes. We understand the groom has secured a small farm in Pleasant township where he and his bride will make their home after Mr. Flueck’s time as day man at the county farm expires.

Those from out of town who attended the Flueck-Beely wedding were Mr. and Mrs. N. R. Groff, Mr. and Mrs. J. Haas, Mr. and Mrs. I. Keefe, Mr. and Mrs. . Haas, Misses Anna and Tilli Leipkie and Mrs. Bartossa and daughter of Decorah, M. Wiltgen and sister of Ossian and Mrs. Gross and family of Clay Hill.

Transcriber’s Note: The bride’s maiden name is spelled two different ways. Research shows the name should be spelled Beely.
