The marriage of Miss Cecilia Balik of this place to Mr. Vaclav Polda of Mason City was solemnized to-day at 9:30 a. m. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father J. P. Bros, in St. Wenceslaus’ church. The bride was attended by her friend Miss Jirak of Little Turkey and Mr. Chas. Balik acted as best man. The wedding march was played by Miss Emma Mikesh, while the choir also deserves mention. After the ceremony they all repaired to the home of the bride’s parents, where the day was spent in the usual enjoyments of such occasions. The bride is an estimable young lady who has lived here all her life, with the exception of the past two years, which she spent in Mason City. The groom is a stranger to us but judging from what the bride is worthy of he is a good and worthy man. The young couple leave here this week for Mason City where they intend to make their future home. The writer joins their many friends in wishing them a happy wedded life.
