Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Barfoot, of this city, yesterday enjoyed the felicity granted to but few couples, of reaching and passing the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage. It is an event that deserves celebrating, but in this case was not, except that there was a quiet coming together of all the children save Enos who lives in northwestern Nebraska. These united in a palpable hint that it was time for their parents to take it easier in the future, the hint being in the form of a pair of willow easy chairs of elegant pattern. The many friends of these people will join in the hope that they may be spared to enjoy many other anniversaries of that 25th day of April, 1850, when, in Ohio, they united their destinies in a life that has had more of sunshine than clouds and storm.
