Married in Nebraska.
There was a beautiful wedding took place in Nebraska that will be of interest to the many friends of Wm. J. Dean, of Ossian. He was married to Miss Eda Carlson at the home of her sister, Mrs. August Barney, near Friend, Nebraska, Saturday, Jan. 20th. The wedding was a quiet, home affair, only near relatives being present. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Wm. Payne, pastor of the Congregational church. The bridesmaid was Miss Edna Howard, cousin of the groom, and Mr. Carl Carlson, brother of the bride, acted as best man. After the ceremony the guests sat down to an elaborate dinner which was enjoyed by all. There were numerous presents both ornamental and useful. The bride is one of Salina county’s fairest daughters. Her relatives are substantial and highly esteemed people who came here in the early days. We all regret to see her leave us. The happy couple will begin housekeeping at the groom's new home near Randalia. I have no doubt but there will be a rush of Winnesheik county young men to Nebraska in the near future to carry off more of our fair young ladies. Let them come, for Nebraska can supply good wives as well as abundant corn crops. Mrs. F. A. LAURENCE.
