Our Recorder Takes a Bride.
The friends and acquaintance of Co. Recorder Charles H. Lawrence were furnished a surprise last Tuesday morning when the announcement was made that he had been married the day previous. That Charley had any such intention was known to but one person in Decorah and that person guarded the secret most zealously until the event had transpired. The bride is Miss Minnie Lee Trail, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Trail, formerly of Fayette, and the ceremony was performed at Cedar Rapids, Wednesday, April 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence returned to Decorah on Monday last and have since been receiving the good wishes and congratulations of Charley’s many friends on the happy event.
