Cedar Falls sends forth the news of the marriage. Aug 27th, of Fred L. Cassidy, Superintendent of schools of Rolfe, Pocahontas county, to Miss Edith Snowden, daughter of Rev. J. K. Snowdon, of that city. The ceremony was performed by the father of the bride, in the Congregational church at 9 o’clk a. m., assisted by Rev F. P. Cassidy, father of the groom, now pastor of the M. E. church at Winthrop, Buchanan county. Very many in Burr Oak and Hesper remember Freddie, only son of a much-loved former pastor on this circuit, but they will recollect him as a lad in short pants. We are sure that many kind wishes from both of these towns will go out to Fred and his bride.
