An Oregon Wedding.
A copy of the Salem Daily Oregon Statesman of the 5th comes to us with an announcement that will interest Hesper folks, to-wit: the marriage of Samuel R Updegraff and Miss Bessie M. Gessner, on the 4th. The notice is accompanied by the following comment.
The bride is a most charming and beautiful young woman of the “Rickey” neighborhood, southeast of this city, and a favorite with all who know her. The groom is a highly respected and well-to-do young farmer residing just east of the city. Mr. and Mrs. Updegraff will make their home with the groom’s mother, Mrs. Mary K. Updegraff, who resides just east of this city.
