At the home of the bride's father near Ossian, on Tuesday, Nov. 29th, at 8:30 a. m., Miss Zoe R. Cornell and Mr. H. J. Meyer were united in marriage by Rev Father Lechtenberg of Ossian, in the presence of twenty-five relatives and near friends. An elaborate breakfast was served and the day was spent in the enjoyment of music and games. Late in the afternoon the guests departed, after extending hearty congratulations and good wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Mayer The bride was born near Ossian and is highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. The groom is traveling salesman and has his headquarters in Dubuque where he and his bride will be at home after January 1st. X.Source: Decorah Republican Dec. 8, 1904 Page 6
Miss Zoe R. Cornell and Mr. Henry Mayer were married at the home of the bride’s parents Tuesday, Nov 28th. The Rev, C. B. Lechtenberg of Ossian offi-ciated. They will make their future home in Dubuque, where Mr. Mayer is employed as a traveling salesman by Jaeger Bros, of that place. Miss Zoe has lived in this township all her life and has a large circle of friends who wish the happy couple a long and pleas¬ant life.
