BARTHELL—ASSELN.
At 6:30 o'clock last evening at the home of the bride's parents, Miss Mathilda Asseln, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Asseln, became the bride of Howard F. Barthell, Rev. Margaret T. Olmstead officiating, Mr. and Mrs. Barthell departed on the evening train for Milwaukee where they will spend their honeymoon. On their return they will reside in the house adjoining the bride's parental home until the new house which Mr. Barthell is building on lots on Riverside avenue is completed.
Both bride and groom have been prominent young people of Decorah for a number of years—the former as a teacher in the public schools, and the latter as an attorney. They enjoy a wide acquaintance and enter upon wedded life with the best wishes of many friends
