DRENG—RUDE.
One of the large weddings of the season will be that of Miss Emma Adeline Rude, only daughter of Mrs. Christine Rude, and Rev. John O. Dreng, of Chicago, which will be solemnized this afternoon at five o’clock at the First Lutheran church, Rev. J. B. Torrison officiating. It is not meet{sic} that man should go through life alone and in choosing his bride Rev. Dreng has taken a young lady who is not only honored for her graces, but who will be a true assistant to him in his life work. While a student at Luther College Mr. Dreng formed an extensive acquaintance in Decorah, and with it a friendship that has watched him through his ministerial studies at Luther Seminary and extends to him and his the warmest congratulations.
After the ceremony a reception will be held at the home of the bride's mother in which upwards of two hundred guests will participate. Rev. and Mrs. Dreng will remain in Decorah until next week, going from here to Synod. meeting at Minneapolis, and then to Chicago where Rev. Dreng ministers to a congregation at Logan Park,
