Miss Maureen Kae Teslow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester H. Teslow, Decorah, became the bride of Stanley J. Maroushek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Maroushek, Ridgeway, Aug. 30, in the Glenwood Lutheran Church. The Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen performed the ceremony.
Soloist was Mrs. Leonard Crawford and Mrs. Leslie Laterman was organist.
The bride wore a floor-length gown of acetate taffeta with scoop neckline trimmed with chantilly lace and sequins. The bell-shaped skirt featured a back insert of lace with a large bow, three-quarter-length sleeves. She carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses and white mums. Her only jewelry was a string of pearls. Her fingertip-length veil of English silk illusion was held in place with a queen's crown of pearls.
The maid of honor, Sheryl Tollefsrud, wore a street-length dress of yellow brocaded taffeta with a scoop neckline and cap sleeves. She wore a small matching headpiece with a blush veil. She carried an arrangement of while gladiolas and yellow mums.
Larry B. Teslow, brother of the bride, was best man.
Dorina Jean Maroushek, sister of the bridegroom, was flower girl. She wore a yellow taffeta dress with an overskirt of white nylon organza. She carried a basket of yellow and white mums.
The bride's mother wore an ice blue dress of brocaded taffeta with navy accessories. Her corsage was red baby roses and white mums.
The mother of the bridegroom wore a dress of peacock blue and black with black accessories. Her corsage was yellow and white mums.
Ushers were Dean Teslow and Steven Matter.
A reception was held in the church parlor after the ceremony. Mrs. Roger Matter and Mrs. Walter Teslow cut the cake, baked by Mrs. John Schellhammer.
Judith and Barbara Teslow served punch. Mrs. Arthur Fiet poured. Mrs. Stanley Teslow was dining room hostess.
The bride has been employed in the Hotel Winneshiek Coffee House and the bridegroom is employed at Decorah Welding and Machine Co.
