Decorah, Ia., Feb. 5 - Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bear leave for New York City Saturday evening. This is the 112th semi-annual trip Mr. Bear has made to the eastern market, as he has been making these journeys twice a year since he opened a clothing store in Decorah in 1876. The miles Mr. Bear has covered in these 112 trips is equal to about 12 times the distance around the world. No trip has ever been missed in al these years - quite a remarkable exhibition of consistently splendid health. Each trip requires about three weeks absence from the city. In the 112 trips then, Mr. Bear has been absent from Decorah about six and one-half years.
