The Court -- The District Court, [with] Judge Williams prosiding (sic), has been in session in our town past the week. (sic) There has been a large number of people in town, but no case of unusual interest has been tried. One slander case which carried some merriment was commenced, but after the court, the bar and the crowd had shook their sides pretty thoroughly, it was withdrawn. The "slander" consisted in one man accusing another of stealing, killing and selling bull beef. The only counsel from abroad we have recognized is Hon. R. Noble and Dist. Attorney McGlalhery.*

The Grand Jury brought in indicement (sic) for murder against Livengood and Mrs. Tellyea, but there is not time for trial at this term of the Court, the trial will go over to a future day, and there is talk of taking them to another county for trial.

*Could also be McGlalbery or McGlathery. Can't quite decipher the two letters after the "a".
