THE TELLYEA CASE

SUSPECTED PARTIES ARRESTED

Deputy Sheriff Bloomfield succeeded in arresting Mrs. Tellyea and Livengood, last week and they are now in jail. He found them in Minnesota, near Houston, and though it is not strictly according to law, arrested them and brought them home with him. Mr. Ackerson of Burr Oak went with, and assisted him in the job. O. M. Barrett, Esq. went to Illinois after Albert Richmond, and secured him. He found him near Freeport, whither he went soon after his examination in April last. In this case no arrest was made, we understand; Richmond was told that Livengood and Mrs. Tellyea had been re-arrested, and he was wanted as a witness; and he came without much, if not any, hesitation.

Mrs. T. and Livengood waived an examination, and they were committed to jail to await a trial. One of the jury rooms was fitted up for Mrs. Tellyea as it was not deemed best for her to associate with Livengood during the time they will have to lie in jail. Physicians also advised that her physical condition required for her another place than the common jail.

Sufficient evidence to hold him was not found against Albert Richmond, and he was discharged. Subsequently, however, he was placed under $1000 bonds to appear as a witness on the trial. Not being able to furnish the required amount of bail, he was sent to jail.
