Formation of Mount Valley Township

I know that Mount Valley Township in the county was organized in 1879, as per the various histories of Winnebago County. I suspect that it was formed from a part of Center Township. Is this true? If so, does anyone have a reference (or a "before" map showing the townships in Winnebago County prior to 1879) as evidence? Thanks for any help.
