In Response To: Cemetery (Marcy Dahlke)

Irvin Witham registered for the WWI draft from Worth county, Iowa.

Marcy didn't include in her Query that a cousin had told her Irvin was buried in Hinman cemetery, Bristol twp. Winnebago co. (but she couldn't find the cemetery). I'm not positive, but believe that the Salem Lutheran cemetery, Lake Mills, Winnebago co. may also be known as the Hinman cemetery.

It's possible that Irvin actually died on his farm east of Lake Mills (see his obit) in Bristol twp., Worth co. Iowa but is buried just across the border in Winnebago co.

Bristol twp. Worth co. and Center twp. Winnebago co. are adjacent. Some people in Bristol twp. actually had Lake Mills postoffice addresses.

So I think we should be looking in Lake Mills cemeteries.
