Grandmother information

My mother-in-law was taken away from her real mother back in 1938-39 in Kalamazoo Michigan. I am searching to try to find out information or a picture of her mother, Mother's name at birth was Lucile Lavone Sherman, born on April 12, 1915 in Oregon Il, father and mother's name was Edward and Clara Sherman, Lucile married three different times and last known name before she died in Nov 18, 1997 was Tankersley and lived in Rockford IL. If anyone can find out if she had an relatives or a photo, would like to share this with the two children that still are alive. My mother-in-law passed away in 1996 without knowning her mother or what she looked like. The other two children are in their 70's and I would love to be able to give them a picture of their real mother. If anyone can help me with this I would be so very grateful
