1893 School? Picture

I'm trying to help a cousin identify some of the pictures he inherited from his mother. He has a group picture taken by G. W. Elder, Forest City, IA before 1895. There are four women and four men in the portrait, they women are in dark dresses, the men in suits, and all of them are wearing flowers on their chests. They appear to be young people in the 18-20 years age range. One of the women in the picture is an ancestor, Emma Field/Fjeld from Newman Grove, Nebraska. The picture can be dated fairly accurately as Emma died at age 20-6-20 in January 1895. Her
parents were Norwegian immigrants who settled first in Blooming Grove, WI, and later moved to Madison County, Nebraska.

My question is was there a college or academy in Forest City or nearby in c. 1890-1895? It's my thought that Emma may have gone away to school in Forest City. Also, it would be nice to learn the names of the seven other young people in the picture and we'll be glad to share it with anyone interested.
