A friend of mine left me her old family Bible, and I have just discovered that there are family records in the middle of it. Some references are to people born in Iowa. I wonder if some descendants would be thrilled with this Bible and its records.

The Bible belonged to John Taylor Smith who was born in England in 1829.

One of the references in the Bible is to a John Francis Smith who was born in Forest City, Howard County, Iowa, on May 13th, 1873.
