My grandmother Clara Charlson Thompson had a brother Richard E. 10/2/98-10/25/1947 (I believe he was the son of Bertha Jenson and Christian N. Charlson). He was a favorite uncle of my mother (the late Alice Bertha Thompson Tett). Thus my name perhaps?

I have the flag from his casket and have mounted it in a case. I would like to inscribe it with his rank and years of service. Does anyone have an idea where to find that information? I check with my aunts and uncles to see if any of them remember anything. Perhaps someone even has a picture of him.
