Margaret Elisabeth Lunstrum Clover
August 16, 1915 - October 31, 2008

Margaret Elisabeth Lunstrum Clover, age 93, died peacefully in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday, October 31, 2008.

Margaret was born on August 16, 1915, in Forest City, Iowa, to John Halvor and Hannah Green Lunstrum. The John Lunstrum farm was located north of Forest City, Iowa. She was the last surviving child of that family.

A resident of Iowa City for twenty-five years and an active member of the United Church of Christ, Margaret served for seven years on the Iowa City Senior Center Commission, including one year as chairman. For all of her community work, she was named Iowa City/Johnson County Senior of Distinction in 1999.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Paul Lunstrum, Ruth Nelson, Irma Riggle, Reuben Lunstrum, Esther Pattee, Johnnie Lunstrum, Helen Petersen, and Mabel Rebecca Lunstrum; and two sons, Stephen Douglas and Paul Frederick Clover.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Clover and Kenneth Obrzut, of Flagler Beach, Florida, as well as by eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A burial service is planned for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the Swedish Baptist Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa. She will join her parents and baby Mabel Rebecca in the John Lunstrum family plot. The husband of her grand-niece, Reverend William Poland, of Osceola, Iowa, will officiate. Memorials may be made in her name to any HospiceCare organization or Good Samaritan Society care facility. Cremation and arrangements are in the care and trust of the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
