Harry S. Halvorsen
August 15, 1922 - May 28, 2015Harry S. Halvorsen, 92, of Mankato, Minnesota, formerly of Forest City, Iowa, died on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Harry worked as a farmer, as a salesman of fertilizer and seed corn, and as a real estate broker and appraiser specializing in farms.
He is survived by his children, Harriet Ramy (Jim Moritz), Lois Halvorsen, Allen Halvorsen (Kim Carroll), Timothy (Linda) Halvorsen, and Mary Oudekerk; his grandchildren, Shari Baker; Teresa Bjork; Michelle Burns; Benjamin, Daniel, and Genevieve Halvorsen; Hannah and Samuel Oudekerk; Valorie Peterson, Charles, David II, and Sandy Ramy; and Kristine Steinkamp.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his sons-in-law, David Ramy and Chad Oudekerk; and his brothers-in-law and their wives.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2015, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa.
