October 2, 1942 - November 5, 2014Forest City, Iowa - Ronald Robinson, 72, of Forest City, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Ronald Robinson was born on October 2, 1942, in Forest City, Iowa. After graduating from Rake High School in 1960, he attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City where he earned his business degree. For many years, he worked for the City of Forest City.
On June 11, 1983, Ron married Elizabeth Haug at the United Methodist Church in Thompson. They resided in Forest City until 2000 when they moved in succession to Houstonia, Missouri, Marshall, Missouri, and then, back to Forest City. Ron enjoyed collecting John Deere tractors and model train cars.
Ronald is survived by his sister, Barb Hinders, and her husband, Chris, of Woden, Iowa, and their family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Elizabeth Robinson, in 2003.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thompson, Iowa. In accordance with his wishes, his remains were cremated and there will be no formal visitation. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ron Robinson memorial fund.
