June 19, 1944 - January 9, 2014Mission, Texas - Jimmie Dale Nielsen, 69, of Mission, Texas, peacefully passed away in his home on January 9, 2014.
Jim was born on June 19, 1944, in Thornton, Iowa, to Emma Lee Nielsen and the late Martin Nielsen. He is survived by his mother, Emma; his wife, Karen Nielsen; his brother, Mickey Nielsen; three sisters and their spouses: Sherri and Mike Miller, Linda and Ron Haugen, and Mary and Kevin Swanson; two sons, Todd Nielsen, and his wife, Leslie Nielsen, and Tim Nielsen; three stepchildren, Jesse Bryant, Stephanie Carlson, and Brandi Bryant. seven grandchildren; and one great-grand daughter.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Methodist Church, 305 South Clark St., Forest City, Iowa, with Pastor Chuck Layton officiating. As he wished, he was cremated, and there will be no visitation. Inurnment of cremains will be held in Madison Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Jimmie D. Nielsen memorial fund in care of the family.
