Lorraine Stolen
January 26, 1926 - January 22, 2012Lorraine Stolen, 85, of Hampton, died on January 22, 2012, at the Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa.
She was born on January 26, 1926, in Lake Mills, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Dolen) Mostrom. She graduated from Lake Mills High School with the class of 1944. On January 27, 1945, she married Roy Stolen.
Lorraine worked as a bookkeeper for Easter's Super Valu, Mason City, Iowa, for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hampton.
Lorraine enjoyed cooking, puzzles, working in her yard and garden, an occasional trip to the casino, and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Roy, of Hampton; four children, Richard (Donna) Stolen, of Victoria, Minnesota, Cynthia (Doug) Miller, of Hampton, Steven (Rob) Stolen, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Robert (Jane) Stolen, of Atkins, Iowa; a brother, Marvill Mostrom, of Vinton, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Arthur, Jr., Virgil, Arnell, Truman, Spencer, and Dale; and a sister, Gladys.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hampton or the Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility.
