Marcus Allan Curry
March 13, 1989 - July 16, 2018Marcus Allan Curry, an amazing father, son, brother, grandson, and uncle, died unexpectedly on July 16, 2018, at age 29 in a motorcycle accident at Pilot Knob State Park.
Marcus was born in Mason City, Iowa, on March 13, 1989, to Keith Curry and Roxie Krominga. He grew up in Forest City, Iowa, and graduated from Forest City High School in May 2007. He spent approximately fifteen years working at River Bend Farms of rural Forest City. On October 20, 2016, he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Kyla Mae Curry, the light of his life, into this world.
Marcus was a devoted father. With Kyla, he loved playing outdoors, watching movies, listening to music, rocking her to sleep, and snuggling. When he wasn’t spending time with Kyla, he enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, hiking, farming, playing with cats, and watching and playing basketball in addition to any other outdoor activity. Moreover, he liked spending time with his family and friends. Indeed, he valued family holidays and traditions. Marcus was a true Husker fan. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Marcus is survived by his parents, Keith (Shelly) Curry and Roxie (Kent) Krominga; his daughter, Kyla (daughter of Morgan Smith); his siblings: Monica Harman, Megan Johns, and Shyan and Cale Curry; his grandparents, Betty Johnson and Don Curry; his niece and nephews, Avery Harman, Jaymison Langfald PVTII, Maxwell Wagner, and David Hawbaker III.
