Brenda J. Fritz, 53, of Forest City, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City.

Brenda Fritz was born on November 21, 1964, in Mason City to W. Michael and Rosie M. (Sheka) Fritz. A resident at Mosaic in Forest City for thirty-five years, Brenda enjoyed putting puzzles together and listening to music with family and friends. She will be remembered for her determination and playful sassiness.

Brenda is survived by her mother, Rosie Fritz, of Mason City; three sisters, Cheryl (Dave) Ellingson, of Indianola, Anne (John) Ward, of Mason City, and Katie (Travis) Wieland, of Bemidji, Minnesota; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her father, W. Michael Fritz; her maternal grandparents, Glenn and Angie Sheka; and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Lucille Fritz.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 Third Street NE, Mason City. Visitation is scheduled for the hour before the services. Following the services, the family will host a dinner. Burial will follow in the Elmwood – St. Joseph Cemetery, at a later date.
