Pamela J. Richardson, 71, of Leland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Pamela Jane Richardson, a daughter of Fred and Verna (Hall) O’dell, was born on January 27, 1947, in Mason City. She attended Mason City High School and then started her family in Mason City. In the early 1970s, she moved to South Dakota with her family, returning to Mason City in 1979. In 1990, she moved to Leland. Pam was engaged to marry her fiancé, Bob VerHoef, of Leland. She enjoyed computer games, reading books, following NASCAR, and avidly cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Most of all, however, she loved her family and the trips she made with Bob across the country.

Pam is survived by her fiancé, Bob VerHoef, of Leland; three children, Jon (fiancée, Angel) Bottone, of Jacksonville, Florida, Tammie Voortmann, of Clear Lake, and Brian Richardson, of Forest City; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Dan (Paulie) O’dell and Gary O’dell, all of Mason City; and two sisters, Julie (Tony) Scalice, of Coralville, and Kathy Greenawalt, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; as well as by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Lori Ann Banks.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Home in Forest City.
