June 8, 1965 - June 3, 2017

Corey Dean Williams, a son of Brad and Diane (Nutt) Williams, was born on June 8, 1965, in Fairmont, Minnesota. He grew up in Trimont, Minnesota, where he attended school. As a young man, he helped his dad on the farm while holding a variety of jobs.

In 2005, Corey began working at Asmus Farm Service in Rake as their warehouse foreman. On May 28, 2010, he married Julie Mitthun in Buffalo Center. He and Julie would close up their home for the summer and spend it at Three Fingers Campground near Forest City. Corey loved sitting around the fire with his family and friends, fishing, and riding motorcycle. A hard worker, he was known to be able to fix anything. He died on Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, at the age of 51.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Williams, of rural Buffalo Center; eight children, Heather (Adam) Williams-Schudi, of Crystal, Minnesota, Stephanie Williams, of Crystal, Minnesota, Chelsey (Andrew) Jensen, of Fairmont, Minnesota, Oceana Williams, of Estherville, Casandra Meyer, of Titonka, Kyle Meyer (special friend Carrie Morin), of Garner, Cody Meyer, of Thompson, and Chelsey Armstrong (special friend Jared Swearingen), of Buffalo Center; his grandchildren, Izayah, Kaliyah, Madyson, Trevor, Akiera, Kamden, Donovan, and "Little Man" (on the way); his mom, Diane (Ken) Vonnahme, of Buffalo Center; his father, Brad (Connie) Williams, of Trimont, Minnesota; a brother, Terry (Shelly) Williams, of Albertville, Minnesota; two sisters, Jody (Todd) Jordan, of Winnebago, Minnesota, and Jennifer (Bradey) Schmidt, of Welcome, Minnesota; a step-sister, Shelley Vonnahme, of Alta; his father-in-law, Marlin Mitthun, of Buffalo Center; and a brother-in-law, Kurt (Michelle) Mitthun, of Belmond; as well as by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Mitthun, and his brother-in-law, Jackie Mitthun.

A celebration of Corey's life will be held Friday, June 9, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Winter Chapel, Buffalo Center.
