Terry Lee Keeper
July 5, 1945 - March 12, 2017Terry Lee Keeper, 71, of Scarville, formerly of Forest City, died on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at the Albert Lea Medical Center in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
Terry Lee Keeper was born on July 5, 1945, to Raymond John and Irene Helen (Peck) Keeper. After graduating from Mason City High School in 1963, he attended Mason City Junior College and Orange Coast College of California. On June 1, 1978, he married Gina Marie Genzler. Terry worked at many different jobs throughout his life, but he remained the longest in the maintenance department at Winnebago Industries, Inc., retiring after thirty-eight years of service. Currently, he was managing The Den Restaurant at the Bear Creek Golf Course in Forest City.
Although he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and cooking, Terry had a special passion for automobiles. Moreover, he loved spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Irene Keeper, of Mason City, Iowa; his wife, Gina Keeper; his three daughters, Shannon Bonner, and her significant other, Tim Hakl, Shawn Keeper, and her fiancé, DJ Hays, and their children, Dominic Keeper, Hunter and Kael Thorson, and Ivan Hays; and Shane Schimmelpfennig, and her husband, Jake Schimmelpfennig, and their children, Spencer Bryan, Gadge Snider-Keeper, and Alyza, Avalyn, and Shay Schimmelpfennig. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond John Keeper.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City with Pastor Rod Hopp officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark St., Forest City, Iowa. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa.
