HOUSTON, Texas — Rose Moklestad, 102, of Houston, Texas, died on August 7, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 41619 150th Ave., Leland.

The oldest of thirteen brothers and sisters, Rose Nangano was born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 9, 1914. In 1945, she married Orrion Ambroson and moved to Leland. Here, they raised their children, Donica, Ron and Tom, together until Orrion’s death in 1958.

In 1965, Rose married Harold Moklestad of Crystal Lake where she lived until they retired to Mission, Texas. After Harold’s death in 1997, she moved to Houston to be near her son, Tom, and his family.

Rose was preceded in death by her husbands, Orrion and Harold; her daughter, Donica; and her grandson, Brad. She is survived by her sons, Ron, and his wife, Wendy, of Leland, and Tom, and his wife, Margaret, of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
