December 12, 1973 - September 4, 2016Surrounded by family and close friends, Jennifer Lynn Petersen passed away on September 4, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
She was born on December 12th, 1973, to James Michael and Julie (Gill) Petersen. Raised in Rake, she graduating from Buffalo Center High School and then from Kaplan College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
Jennifer had a son, Spencer Michael Stephen Humphrey, who passed away shortly after birth, and two daughters, Macie Lynne Humphrey and Jordyn Lyn Humphrey. She enjoyed crafting, camping, fishing, spending time with friends, and playing with her dog Bailey. Moreover, she had a very contagious laugh, a bright smile, and generous spirit. She will be missed by her family and the countless people she befriended over the years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Spencer Michael Stephen Humphrey, and her mother, Julie Peacock. She is survived by two daughters, Macie and Jordyn, two brothers, Scott Petersen and Andrew Peacock, and her step-father, Gary Peacock.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Diamond Jo Casino Event Center in Northwood.
