Warren Feldick
April 2, 1928 - May 23, 2016Warren Verne Feldick, son of Edward and Ann (Hussinga) Feldick, was born on April 2, 1928, on a farm northwest of Buffalo Center. After attending a rural school until the 8th grade, he transferred to Buffalo Center where he graduated from high school in 1945.
Next, he farmed on the family farm North of Buffalo Center until left to serve in the Army from 1951 to 1952. After spending part of the time in Germany, he returned home to farm.
On August 3, 1957, Warren married Ruth Carlson in Leland, Iowa. Continuing to farm North of Buffalo Center, he, especially, enjoyed feeding the cattle. In 1994, he moved into town, but still farmed part of his land until 2005.
A member of the American Legion, he served as a deacon in the Reformed Church. He, really, liked singing, playing his guitar, and traveling.
Warren died on Monday, May 23, 2016, at the Titonka Care Center at the age of 88.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three children, Dale, and his wife, Katie, of Peoria, Arizona, Gary, and his wife, Donna, of Chanhassen, Minnesota, and Connie, and her husband, Sheldon Singleton, of Irvine, California; four grandchildren, Ashley, Kevin, Macy, and Marina Feldick; and one brother, Duane, and his wife, Beth, of Buffalo Center; as well as two nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence.
