October 11, 1918 - April 4, 2016Hazel Larson, 96, of Rake, Iowa, died on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Regina Hospital in Hastings, Minnesota.
Hazel Eleanor Larson, a daughter of Tellef and Cora (Olson) Tellefson, was born on October 11, 1918, on a farm north of Bricelyn, Minnesota. Confirmed at North Blue Earth Lutheran Church, she attended a country school and graduated from Bricelyn High School, class of 1936. Then, she attended Waldorf College. On December 4, 1938, she married Glenn Larson.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; her brother, Clarence Tellfson; her sister, Anna Larson; an infant sister, Inga; and a great grandson, Riley Olson.
Hazel is survived by a daughter, Deanne (Roger) Schnebly; a son, Vaughn (Deiatra) Larson; five grandchildren: Joseph (Amy), Daniel, and Janeanne Larson; Kendra (Randy) Olson; and Steven (JoAnne) Schnebly; nine great grandchildren: Andrew, Emma, Grace, Greta, Heidi, Josephine, Katie, Shawn, and Tyler; and six great-great-grandchildren: Jaci, Jadyn, Jeremiah, Jesse, Levi, and Lindsi.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, Rake, Iowa, with Pastor Dan Kahl officiating. Burial will be at East Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour before services at the church.
