February 10, 1952 - October 17, 2015Darwin E. Hill, 63, of Titonka, died on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at his home.
Darwin was born on February 10, 1952, to Kenneth E. and Vurla (Shaw) Hill in Algona, Iowa. After graduating from Titonka High School, he continued his education at Iowa Lakes Community College, studying auto mechanics.
On July 15, 1972, he married Gail Harson. After raising three sons during a twenty-four year of marriage, they divorced.
Darwin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just shooting off his guns. He, also, liked putting together and flying Radio Control (RC) airplanes and working on his family's farm. Moreover, he worked at Snap-On Tools Corporation for forty-three years. Darwin was a member of the United Methodist Church, a longtime member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Machinist Union Local 1045.
He is survived by his sons, Dondy (Wanda), of Forest City, Shane (Danielle), of Fort Drum, New York, and Derrick Hill, of Buffalo Center; his twin grandsons, Alexander and Zachary Hill, his grandson, Timothy Hill, and his granddaughter Emily Hill; his siblings, Lalonie (the late Merlin) VanHove, of Des Moines, Jolene (Jim) Wolfe, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Cheryll (Kenneth) Ubben, of Buffalo Center; as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Darwin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Merlin VanHove.
