Robert A. Rollefson
October 4, 1964 - June 19, 2015Robert Allen “Ernie” Rollefson, 50, of Clear Lake, died on Friday, June 19, 2015, at his residence.
A son of Robert K. and Phyllis (Tannahill) Rollefson, Robert was born on October 4, 1964, in Forest City, Iowa. He attended Forest City Community Schools.
Ern loved to fish, spend time outdoors, camp, play frisbee golf, go four wheeling, work on and watch stock cars, and follow the Minnesota Vikings. In addition, he enjoyed watching and coaching his two sons in wrestling. Family and friends could always find him with a pair of drum sticks in his hands grooving to the music. Summers, he spent long boarding with his two sons. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was survived by his mother, Phyllis (Joel) Punke; and his father, Robert Rollefson; his children, Jeremy Rose (Alyss), Brooke (Josh) Hamm, and Travis Rollefson; his siblings, Steve (Kathy) Rollefson, Mike (Becky) Rollefson, Kim (Brent) Harris, Chris (Heather) Punke, and Michelle (Tara) Punke; his grandchildren, Payt’n, Nora, McKinsley, Evan, and Gavin; and his nieces and nephews, Chris, Scott, Brandon, Dustin, Logan, Spencer, Gabriel, Nora, Ava, Ella, and Henry; as well as by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark St., Forest City, Iowa 50436, with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplain of Hospice of North Iowa officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, June, 22, 2015, at the funeral chapel. Interment will be follow in Madison Township Cemetery in Forest City.
