Kris Beverlee Drugg
February 11, 1935 - October 19, 2005

Kristeen Beverlee Drugg died at the Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City on October 19, 2005, at the age of 70 years.

Kris was born in Forest City, Iowa, on February 11, 1935, a daughter of Roy and Emylia (Thompson) Rygmyr. Baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, she received her education in the Forest City School system.

Kris married Roger Drugg on June 5, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Virginia for two years while Roger completed his military service. Since then, they had made Forest City their home.

Kris worked at the Summit Printing Company for ten years, at G&H Motor Parts for fifteen years, and beginning in 1977 at Waldorf College until she retired. In addition, she served on the President’s Advisory Committee at Waldorf, and for many years, she was acting secretary for the Forest City Food Bank. A life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she also served on the Board of Trustees and as Sunday School Superintendent.

Kris enjoyed doing needlework and crocheting. She liked to go camping with her family when the kids were young. An accomplished musician, she played both the organ and the piano. An avid bridge player, she loved to have a meal out with her daughters and friends at local tea houses.

Kris is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Roger Drugg, of Forest City and her children and their families: Robert and Terri Drugg, of Lake Mills, Iowa, and their sons, Ron (Eroica) Drugg, of El Cajon, California, and their children, Nethaniel, Mikalee Kristeen, and Anelina Luella; Jason (Sarah) Drugg, of Forest City; Terry and Jane Drugg, of Spring Hill, Kansas, and their daughter, Jessica; Karen and Jim Schmidt, of West Des Moines, Iowa, and their children, Dustin and Holli; Linda and Bruce Nelson, of Forest City, and their daughters, Laura and Sarah; and an aunt, Grace Luella Thompson, of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Kris was preceded in death by her parents.
