Marlene worked at Larson Manufacturing for twenty-two years before retiring. Then, she worked part-time at the school, helping in the lunch room for ten years.

Every morning, Marlene would spend time at the Grand Café having coffee and visiting with friends. For many years, she enjoyed playing bridge. She also enjoyed doing her crafts, baking treats, and listening to big band music, especially Glenn Miller. She liked to relax at home with her cat, Tigger, while watching her favorite shows. Very active in her church and the American Legion Auxiliary, she always enjoyed the holidays and family birthdays.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Berdiene) Storby, of Scarville, Sarah (Jason) Schumaker, of Glenville, Minnesota, and David Storby, Barb (Mark) Brackey, Robert (LeAnn) Storby, and Marilyn (Darrin Hansen) Storby, all of Lake Mills; twenty-three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother- and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Jacque Storby, of Waseca, Minnesota, and Beverly Storby, of Perry, Iowa; two special nieces, Cheryl Storby, of Bloomington, Minnesota, and Chris (Troy) Schue, of New Richland, Minnesota; and an aunt, Marion Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents, Lorenz and Theresa Torke; her father- and mother-in-law, Elmer and Tena Storby; and a brother-in-law, Richard Storby.
