Charles Dingman, 71, Passed Away at Fort Dodge Sunday, Apr. 1

Hayfield - Charles Dingman, 71, for years a highly respected citizen of Buffalo Center farming community, passed away at the home of his son at Fort Dodge Sunday after a lingering illness of several months duration.

The body was taken at once to Buffalo Center where the funeral service was held Tuesday from the old home and interment was made in the Buffalo Center cemetery.

Deceased moved to his farm near Buffalo Center over 25 years ago and resided there until the death of his wife seven years ago, and since that time he has resided at the homes of his children, where "Grandpa" was always a favorite with the youngsters.

He is survived by five sons, and four daughters, who are: Milford, on the old home farm; Floyd from Fort Dodge; Orville of Iroquis, S. D., Milton and Jacob of Crystal Lake, and Mrs. W. A. Drake and Mrs. A. J. Drake of Crystal Lake; and Mrs. M. M. Edmundson and Mrs. E. Smidt of Hayfield.
