Obituary Notice - Forest City Summit, Forest City, Winnebago County, Iowa, dated 9 March 1939

Ludvig Steffensen died Monday in Forest City at the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 8 days. He was born March 28, 1868 in Denmark and came to this country as a young man. He married March 7, 1896, Helena Christensen, and they resided on farms in Ellington and Forest Townships until 1920 when they retired and moved to Forest City. Mrs. Steffensen passed away October 31, 1937. Children surviving are: Harry N. of Forest City and Arthur C. of Joice; Carrie, Mrs Russell E. Peterson of Perry and Marie, Mrs. Floyd W. Peterson of Berkley, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, at 1:30 at the Olson funeral home and at 2:00 at the Scandinavian Methodist church by Rev. C. H. Petterson. Burial will be made at the Oakland cemetery.
